Friends are currently on a cruise headed for Venice. I admit, I’m just a little jealous! Maybe more than a little.
For those interested in knowing, the above photo was taken long ago on black & white film. I used to love the very grainy look, and would often “push” my film – that is, I would use a film with an ISO rating of 100, and set the camera to an ISO setting of 200, 400 or maybe even more. These days with digital photography, you can still set your ISO to the higher numbers to get that grainy look. Of course, this is completely counter to what technology is trying to accomplish – the reduction of grain at the higher ISOs!
